学生の皆さんはどんなアルバイトをしていますか。
当為
一見楽そうにも見えますが……意外とポーズをキープするのはキツイです。
じっとしてるのが苦手な人は向いてないかも。
今回は実際に働いてみた美術モデルの仕事について詳しくお話ししたいと思います。

美術モデル（アートモデル）
一言でいえば、絵を描くときや彫刻を彫るときのモデルです。
仕事場は主に美術系の大学や専門学校、絵画教室など。
美術モデル（アートモデル）の種類
➀ 着衣（コスチューム）モデル
指定された服を着てモデルをします。
普段着のような場合もあれば、着物等の民族衣装を着用することもあり。
➁ セミヌードモデル
水着やストリップなどの露出度の高い衣装を着てモデルをします。
➂ ヌードモデル
裸の状態でモデルをします。
私がやっているのは、➀着衣（コスチューム）モデルです。
➁セミヌードモデルや➂ヌードモデルについてはこの後も多少言及しますが、経験がないのであくまで見聞きした情報です。
美術モデル（アートモデル）をやろうと思った理由
もともと絵画を見ることが好きで美術の仕事に興味があったのと、報酬がよかったからです。
またじっとしていることが苦痛でないこと、過去に演劇の経験があったことなどから、自分に向いている仕事なのではないかと考えたからです。
着衣の美術モデル（アートモデル）の仕事内容
仕事場に赴き、指定された衣装に着替え、ポーズをとります。
だいたい１５分～３０分くらいポーズをとり続け、５分～１０分の休憩を挟む…
ということを何度も繰り返します。
手足・座る位置、立つ位置はテープで印をつける
最初のポージングの時に、ポーズをしたときの全体の写真を撮り、さらに手足の位置や座る位置などにテープを貼られます。
休憩を挟んだ後などや、何週にもわたって同じ絵を描く際はこの印に合わせてポーズをします。
ただ重ねた手や組んだ脚などの位置はテープを貼ることができないので、自分のスマートフォンで写真を撮るなどして覚えます。
目線も固定する
これがかなり重要で、顔の表情を左右します。
指定された視線の先に、テープや物などがあればそれを目印に、なければ新たにテープを貼らせてもらうなどして固定します。

着衣の美術モデル（アートモデル）だと、時給1300円～2500円くらいです。
ヌードモデルなら、だいたい時給３０００円以上になります。
着衣でも普通のアルバイトの時給よりは高めですし、
とにかく動かずにポーズをとればよいので私は割のいい仕事だと感じます。
美術モデル（アートモデル）になる方法。
➀ 大学や絵画教室の求人・募集を見て応募する。
私が仕事を頂いたのはこの方法です。
募集を行っている学校に直接コンタクトをとり、面接等を経て仕事を頂きます。
自分で調べたり足を運んだりする必要はありますが、
仕事前にある程度実態を把握し選択できる安心感があります。
➁ 美術モデルの事務所に所属する
美術モデルの事務所なるものが存在するので、そこに所属し事務所を介して仕事を頂きます。
東京都内にも大手といわれる事務所が２つあるようなのですが、
調べてみたところどちらもホームページがなく、なんだかよくわかりませんでした。
悪徳な事務所だと「美術モデル募集」と謳いながら実態は大人なビデオの撮影だった！なんていうこともあるようなので、事務所選びは慎重にしましょう。
美術モデル（アートモデル）になれる人とは？性別や容姿、体格は関係するのか。
性別や容姿、体格については、そこまで問われるわけではありません。
しかし美術モデルにも需要というものがあり、その差によって仕事がどれくらいもらえるかどうかということには影響します。
まず性別ですが、募集が多いのは女性です。
年齢は２０代。
とりあえずこの２つの条件をクリアしているとそれなりに需要があります。
身長や体格などは指定されている場合を除き、基本的に不問です。
ただしヌードモデルの場合、痩せすぎているとあまり仕事がないそうです。
器量についても基本的には問われません。
私自身も特に美人というわけではありませんが、着衣の美術モデルの仕事を頂けています。

実際に美術モデル（アートモデル）をやってみた感想
時間の流れが遅い！
同じ姿勢のまま固まっている状態で、youtubeが見られる！音楽が聴ける！ということもないので、時間の流れが非常に遅く感じます。
２０分のポージングが体感だと４０分くらいに思えます。
思わぬ場所が筋肉痛になる
１日中仕事が入っていたりすると、ポーズをキープするのに普段使わない部分の筋肉を使うのか、予想していないところが筋肉痛になったりします。
一見、座っているだけ、立っているだけと思われがちですが、意外と体力のいる仕事です。
絶対に動かないというよりは、動いてもしっかり修正できればいい
絶対に動かない！と思っていると却って力が入り、手足が震えてしまったりするので、「少し動いてしまっても、ちゃんと元の位置に修正できればいい」と考えていたほうがリラックスしてポーズをとることができます。
実際に仕事を頂いている学校や講師の方からも、「もし腕や脚が痛くなったら軽く動かしたりしていいですよ。そしてまた同じポーズをとってください。」と言われることが多いです。
できあがった作品を見るのが楽しい
勤務先にもよりますが、講評に参加させて頂ける場合があります。
そうでなくても、仕事終わりに作品をちらっと見たり。
自分がモデルになっているのはちょっと恥ずかしい気もしますが、どんな風に描こうと思ったのか、そしてそれが絵にどう表現されているのか、絵画を見るのが好きな方はそのあたりを見るのも楽しめるのではないでしょうか。
最後に
大学生はそれぞれいろいろなアルバイトをされている方がいますが、その中でもなかなか楽しめるアルバイトなのではないかと思います。
